At the Recovery Project, our traditional therapy is aggressive, and extremely customized for every individual patient. Whether a patient requires specialized spinal cord therapy, or rehabilitation for brain injuries or neurological disorders, the certified therapists and specialists at Recovery Project will do all we possibly can.
Our mission is to improve lives through increasing the physical and occupational functionality and fitness of all patients. While researchers seek remedies for brain injuries and paralysis, the staff at Recovery Project will continue to provide the best treatment and therapy (including spinal cord therapy) that is possible.
Becoming a Patient
First, we want to evaluate the client immediately after they are released from inpatient rehabilitation. We can then design a program that matches the client’s physical condition with their physical and occupational goals.
Typical frequency:
1 hour of physical therapy 3 times per week;
1 hour of occupational therapy 3 times per week
Traditional therapies can include:
• Ongoing identification of current physical capabilities
• Strengthening of identified capabilities
• Aquatic therapy
• Creation of home exercise programs
• Establishing safe and effective means of transferring between wheelchairs, beds, seats, vehicles, etc.
• Caretaker training
• Assistance in procuring adaptive devices such as wheelchairs, orthotics, home equipment, etc.

Our certified Physical Therapists are complemented by a team of occupational therapists, recreational therapists, aides, personal and athletic trainers. All have joined The Recovery Project with the desire to bring a level of excellence to traditional recovery programs, while also promoting progressive treatments for paralysis.
